Lynn's Comments: I used an egg timer to measure a “time-out,” and it worked like a charm. When an offense had been committed, I’d produce the timer, decide how many minutes the sentence would be and set the dial. Any arguments resulted in added time. I recommend that all new parents get one!

Lynn's Comments: We moved to Vancouver from North Bay, Ontario about 10 years ago. It was a good move. We are all happy here…but every September I think about, and desperately miss, the spectacular colours of a northern Ontario autumn.

Lynn's Comments: My husband and I accused each other of snoring. We even recorded each other to prove our point. In the end, we decided we were even. The one who got the best night’s rest was the first one to fall asleep.

Lynn's Comments: Stompin’ Tom Connors was a legendary Canadian country/folk singer. He really did write a song called “Bud the Spud.” Every Canadian over the age of 50 knows the lyrics.

Lynn's Comments: This was me: zits, bangs, hairspray. Oh, how I suffered. It wasn’t until I was 18 that real, effective medications were available over the counter. I missed a lot of good times because I was too ashamed about my acne to go out!
